St Peter's Pastoral Care Group - Our Pastoral Group exists to offer entirely confidential help and support on any pastoral matter.   Perhaps you would like a friendly visitor for a good chat now and then, help with transport, a name   included in our prayer list at Church, some professional advice which we can help find, or an offer of Communion at home?   Please contact, in the first

instance, Carol Gander on 01273 555414.

Charity of the month - Our charity for July is the Sepsis Trust. Donation   boxes are at the back of church should you wish to contribute.

Church Re-decoration - The works are underway.  Please accept our apologies for any disruption, which will be kept to a minimum.  During this period the south porch is not available as an emergency exit.  The two ways out are the west doors and the old vestry.

Parish Picnic - Everyone is welcome to a  summer parish picnic at Hove Park from 1-3pm on Sunday 30th July.  We will be meeting near the children’s play area and hope to play some rounders or cricket.  Please bring your own picnic.

Sunday School -  On the 16th July and 23rd July (Sunday School party to     celebrate the end of the Sunday School year) Sunday school will be held at the Rectory.  After Fr Daniel has called the children to proceed out of church, please meet at the back,  and Zoe will escort children and parents to the Rectory where we will be holding Sunday School for these two weeks only.

Wanted - Have you got any unwanted DVDs, CDs or books that you no longer want and are happy to donate as a fundraiser for St Peter’s? I have downloaded an app on my phone which has the ability to scan items.  If they have some    value, a price is offered (all be it only minimal).  I then bundle all of the items up, once they have been checked, I receive a cheque in the post for the goods.  Please leave any items at the back of church and if they are not sellable, I will keep them by to sell at the Christmas fair.  Many thanks. Mandy Gander

Housing Needed - Can you help Brighton & Hove continue to be a City of   Sanctuary? The City Council has let us know that it is urgently in need of a one bed and a two bed property for vulnerable Syrian refugees who are already in the city but in housing need. The properties must be self-contained and affordable. The one bed property needs to be suitable for someone with limited mobility. If you or anyone you know can help, please get in touch with the Council’s Refugee Help email address refugeehelp@brighton-hove.gov.uk and they will phone you back.

Your PCC - Every week a member of the Parochial Church Council will be   available at the back of church to answer any questions you may have.  They will be wearing a name badge so will be easily identifiable.

Champing - Fancy doing something a bit different - in fact a once in a life time experience? How about Champing or Church Camping? Well for one night only on Friday 11th August you could experience what it's like sleeping in St    Peter's Church. Who needs to stay at the Grand when you could stay the night in one of the city's oldest churches. Imagine waking up in such peaceful              surroundings followed by a cup of tea and bacon sandwich. The vicar's            organising the entertainment so just bring your sleeping bag and a roll mat and enjoy what promises to be a unique experience. Adults pay £10 and children £5.
